The crossover of construction and mining equipment is becoming shorter every day.  At one time underground mining was the only place you would have underground equipment.  With the proliferation of tunnels being built on the Eastern Seaboard there are hundreds of once mining only machines being used in the civil space.

To understand all the of the above, the expert valuer needs to be conversant with both not only the equipment, but also the different codes and rules that apply to the industries, and the needs for different certification for  different applications.

Being underground in a gold mine is totally different to being underground in a coal mine, and there are not only risks associated with the same, but hugely different requirements for the machinery.  The expert valuer knows this and understands the values can vary dramatically from not only these two examples, but many other applications using the same type of machines.
