As an expert valuer who has spent many years as an auctioneer plying the craft, more recent times have seen the evolution of the online auction making this trade somewhat less common.
Last week I had the opportunity for the second time to work the tonsils and complete an auction for charity at the United Way Gala Dinner.
This wonderful organisation is dedicated to assisting those less fortunate with reading and early learning initiative, across 41 countries and has been going for over 125 years.
My small part in the event was not only a chance to dust off the trade, but more importantly help someone who needs it.
